Poetic Justice is a 501c3 nonprofit arts-in-corrections organization. With a belief in our shared humanity and in the power of trauma-informed creative writing, Poetic Justice strives to create a community within and beyond women's prisons, jails, and youth facilities.

Poetic Justice’s mission is to offer restorative writing and creative arts programs to individuals who are or have been incarcerated in women’s prisons and jails.

ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL
Poetic Justice operates under a chapter-based organizational model which consists of four state chapters (to date) and one national office.
The facilitation teams in each state are trained in gender-responsive approaches to trauma-informed creative arts programming with a focus on writing because of it’s unique ability to help participants access the language necessary for healing from the impacts of trauma on their lives.
